About the Film
Young Hearts follows 13-year-old Elias, growing up in a warm family in a quiet Belgian village. His father is a schlager singer, Elias has many friends, and he is dating Valerie. But when he befriends the new neighbor, his world turns upside down.
Elias feels drawn to the stylish and free-spirited Alexander, and these feelings leave him unsure of himself. For the first time, he experiences true love—but he struggles with being “different.” His journey of emotions and self-discovery asks the question: can he embrace his feelings and accept who he truly is?
