Pride Photo, in partnership with BredaPhoto, is proud to present Life Stories — a month-long exhibition celebrating queer lives through photography, visual storytelling, and intergenerational dialogue. Taking place from 1 to 30 November 2025, this programme brings together a rich collection of works that explore identity, memory, resilience, and the courage it takes to live authentically.
Life Stories brings together five powerful photo series by internationally recognised artists, alongside newly developed projects created by photography students as part of a collaborative educational workshop. The exhibition includes both indoor and outdoor presentations, including a city-centre installation of the Pride Photo Award 2025 winners.
These works span a range of subjects, from personal family archives to speculative futures, from everyday joy to structural adversity. What connects them is a commitment to queer visibility, dignity, and storytelling that challenges dominant narratives. Visitors will encounter images that are deeply personal and politically resonant, grounded in lived experience.
The exhibition is open to everyone and is entirely free to visit. Locations include Clublokaal, the Chassé Theater’s project space, and public spaces throughout the city of Breda. Whether you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally, Life Stories offers an opportunity to engage with photography as a tool for connection, recognition, and collective memory.
In addition to the exhibitions, the programme features a range of public activities: artist talks, educational sessions, film screenings, workshops, and guided tours. Together, these elements invite visitors to reflect on the diversity and vitality of queer lives — past, present, and future.
