ABOUT QUETZAL MAUCCI 

Quetzal Maucci (she/her 1992, USA) is a photographer, visual storyteller, and educator based in London, UK. In her work, Maucci combines visual documentary techniques with archival images, poetry, interviews and other various forms of intervention in order to challenge systemic values and social constructs. She seeks to create space for personal therapeutic processes while dismantling and exploring ideas surrounding immigration, connection, family dynamics, and identity.

ABOUT JAN-BERT VROEGE

Jan-Bert Vroege (he/him 1971, NL) is a Dutch politician and member of D66. Both as a city council member and as administrator of Amsterdam Oost, he is known for his commitment to the LBHTIQA+ community. He has actively contributed to promoting equal rights and inclusiveness both in the city and within the party. Early has championed safe public spaces and better care for LBHTIQA+ individuals. He supports education programs in schools to promote acceptance. He also advocates for inclusive policies and has supported several campaigns that increase the visibility of LBHTIQA+ people.

ABOUT CHRIS EN MARJAN

Christopher de Gast (he/him, 1992) and Marjan Schonenberg (she/her, 1989) have been collaborating as a photography duo since 2017. Their work highlights ordinary individuals whose stories need to be told, and creates approachable, down-to-earth portraiture. With every image, they want to contribute to a visual culture in which every human being, despite gender, origin, shape or identity is equal and represented.
