Force
Frisson is een non-binaire tattoo kunstenaar, bekend onder de naam Florex Forever. Hen maakt niet alleen unieke ontwerpen en stukken voor hun eigen lichaam en gezicht, maar ook voor anderen om kracht te geven aan hun gemeenschap door de tattoo-cultuur te delen en een onderlinge band te creëren. Het tatoeëren is een vorm van herwaardering van het menselijk lichaam in een wereld die niet altijd gastvrij is voor mensen uit de LHBTQIA+ gemeenschap.
Frisson zegt: “Ik schrijf op mijn huid om ons samen te brengen. Om op mijn manier een revolutie teweeg te brengen. Het is mijn eigen rebellie, mijn pantser om me te beschermen tegen de te harde buitenwereld. Ik schrijf op mijn lichaam en dat van mijn gelijken. Om te helen en geheeld te worden. Het is onze geheime kleine schakel. Achter onze omhulsels die voortdurend veranderen, creëren we kleine autonome schuilplaatsen. Het zijn gedeelde coconnen van zorg waar liefde te vinden is.”
Over de fotograaf
Anne-Sophie Guillet is een Franse fotografe, geboren in Oxford (UK) en momenteel gevestigd in België. Ze is een portretfotograaf die werkt met middenformaat analoog. Ze behaalde haar MFA in visuele kunsten en fotografie aan de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Brussel in 2013.
Haar werk werd nationaal en internationaal tentoongesteld waaronder Contretype (BE), Salon de Montrouge (FR), Wiels (BE), MOPLA (US), Portrait Hellerau Photography Award (DE). Haar boek “Inner Self”, gepubliceerd in 2019 met de Japanse uitgever, Case Publishing, werd gelanceerd tegelijkertijd met een solo show in de Gallery Poetic Scape in Tokyo. Haar series aan de rand van de documentaire, stellen sommige sociale voorschriften in vraag.
Momenteel werkt ze aan de serie “Together” over liefde en relaties die de heteronormatieve liefde overstijgen. Deze serie over intimiteit is een archiefwerk dat de tederheid van haar leeftijdsgenoten verzamelt.
Frisson is a non-binary tattoo artist, known as Florex Forever. Not only do they create unique designs and pieces for their own body, but aspires to give strength to their community through the art of tattoos. The practice of tattooing is a form of self-directed reclamation of the human body, in a world that is not always welcoming to LGBTQIA+ communities.
Frisson says, “I write on my skin, to make us both in tune. To make revolution my way. It’s my own rebellion, my armor to protect me from the too harsh outside world. I write on my body and those of my peers. To heal and be healed. It is our secret little link. Behind our shells in perpetual transformation, we create small self-sufficient shelters. They are shared cocoon spaces of care where love is to be found.”
About the photographer
Anne-Sophie Guillet is a French photographer born in Oxford, UK and currently based in Belgium. She is a portrait photographer working with medium format analog. She got her MFA in visuals Arts and photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels in 2013.
Her works got exhibited nationally and intenationally including Contretype (BE), Salon de Montrouge (FR), Wiels (BE), MOPLA (US), Portrait Hellerau Photography Award (DE). “Inner Self”, book published in 2019 with the Japanese Publisher, Case Publishing, was launched simultaneously with a solo show at the Gallery Poetic Scape in Tokyo. Her series at the edge of documentary, are calling into question some social injunctions.
Currently she is pursuing “Together” series about love and relationships representations out of the heteronormative love. This series on intimacy is a work of archive collecting tenderness of her peers.
