Lee-Ann Olwage is a South African visual storyteller who uses collaborative photography to explore themes of gender and identity. Her work focuses on creating a celebratory space where collaborators actively shape the images that affirm their personal narratives.

Her photography has been featured in National Geographic, Vogue, The British Journal of Photography, Foam, The Guardian, and Vanity Fair Italy, among others. Olwage’s awards include the World Press Photo Award (2020, 2023, 2024), Sony World Photography Award (2023), International Women in Photo Award Laureate (2023), and CAP Prize (2022). She was also shortlisted for the Marilyn Stafford Fotoreportage Award and selected for The New York Times Portfolio Review in 2022.
