Chris Rijksen is an artist who works with stories. His collective of the Transketeers works on projects about positive visibility and representation. With both documentary and fiction he contributes to the public conversation around gender, identity and emancipation. In his approach he tries to highlight resilience, humour and authenticity.

In 2010 he was the winner of the Pride Photo Award with a photo from his series Gender as a Performance.
